October 18th 2011

This last week hasn't been as busy as the past week was.
On the 13th Anthony had football practice. The coach told us that the team wouldn't be scrimmaging during half time of the high school game. He wasn't sure what the reason was as to why but that we wouldn't be doing it. The kids could still get in for free if they wore their jerseys.  Jodi, my sister, had surgery on her shoulder. She is recovering well, but still in pain.

Friday: We decided not go to the football game because Anthony was starting to lose his voice and Dawn, my sister, and her family came to spend the weekend. Tinneille, my niece, and I decided that we would take Lakeysha, my other niece, to see a movie. Lakeysha picked 50/50 to go see. It was amazing! Such a good movie. It was a softer side to such a serious subject, cancer.  We had a great time!

Saturday: My mom wanted to take all the grand kids to get pumpkins since they were all free today. Anthony had a bye week with football but Austin didn't. So after Austins game we all headed to the Berry Patch in Nevada. Once we got there, Tinneille also showed up. We all got on a hey ride to the pumpkin field. We took tons of pics all of them are on my facebook page if you wanna see them.  All the grand kids got pumpkins. The only two that weren't there, Treaver and Brian, also got one.  Then grandma and grandpa paid for those then we went to pick raspberries.  As we were getting ready to leave Erin, my sister-in-law, offered to come over and fix supper. We don't all get together very often so it sounded like a great idea.  Once we got to mom and dad's house Justin, my brother, played football with Austin, Anthony and Jason Jr. All the kids played outside and had a blast.  If you know anything about my family you know that this doesn't happen like this! Someone almost always fights so this was great!  Oh yeah Mitch, Tinneille soon to be hubby, showed up after he got done with drill (he's national guard). I started to have pain again took some mes but it didn't help really. Dawn and I  made Apple Pie Cupcakes, everyone said they were good.  Everyone kinda went home at the same time. It was an all around GREAT day!

Sunday: FOOTBALL!!! That explains my day!

This pic is from the game I missed when I was in the hospital.  My lil man is so cute!
Monday: I took Jeff to ITT Tech where he is going to go to school. He enrolled and we don't have to pay for anything, the Army and grants are gonna pay the whole thing.

Tonight Anthony has football practice. He has a game on Saturday, its his second to last game! I was nervous at the beginning of football but know that its almost over I don't want it to be. I guess because football is my favorite sport to watch. But that's ok basketball is next and both kids want to play.  Anthony might join wrestling but we are waiting to here back from them as to when it starts. If wrestling overlaps with basketball Anthony will have to chose.
In other news I called and got an appointment to see a doctor about having my tubes untied! God I hope they can do it! I so want a baby and so do both the kids. That appointment will be on November 2nd. Ill be sure to update after that appointment for sure!

October 12

WOW This has been a crazy 9 days!!  Lets start where we left off...Alyssa had an eye appointment. We got to her eye appointment and it hadn't been a year, we were 3 days shy of a year. But because it hadn't been a year the insurance wouldn't cover it so we had to reschedule.

Wednesday (the 5th) was uneventful, at least what I remember lol.

Thursday Anthony had football practice he works so hard! Hes such a great athlete! Doctor called and said my ultrasound was normal. So she didn't know why I was having pain.

Friday the kids went to their dad's. The person Jeff sold his car to, like 3 months ago, finally decided to pay us some money so we decided to go to a movie. We went to see Real Steel, it was really good. With about 30 minutes left I started getting a really bad pain in my left pelvic area. It was so bad that after the movie was over Jeff took me to Methodist. We got there about 11:45 pm. They did blood work, urine sample and started an IV. All that was normal so they did a CT scan, they found that I had a blockage in my small intestine and gull stones so I was admitted.

Saturday I had to call Anthony and explain to him that I couldn't be at his game because I was in the hospital. He was a lil upset. At about 10 am I had to go have xrays done while drinking some contrast. The contrast was so disgusting I kept throwing it back up. At noon they decided to send me back up to my room to finish it. It took me until 5 pm to finish that crap! They came to my room and took the xray. Anthony called me to tell me about his game. I could tell he missed me being there.

Sunday I had to go have a follow up xray. The blockage had passed so they went ahead and discharged me.  The rest of my day was pretty uneventful.

Monday: Kids had dentist appointments, both have great teeth. Alyssa's thumb sucking is not hurting her teeth, Yay! I was in a lot of pain all day. At bed time I couldn't sleep at all. At midnight Jeff decided he was going to take me back to the hospital.

Tuesday: We got to Methodist about 1:30 am, They started an IV did blood work and urine, again. There was blood in my urine so they did another CT scan because they thought I had kidney stones. Results: no kidney stones. That doctor had no idea what it could be. A new doctor came in and he decided to do a pelvic exam. As soon as he touched my cervix I kicked and almost got him lol. Then he went to my left and the same pain. He said it was an infection. So gave me a script and sent me home! Left at 8:50am! Then spent the day sleeping. Then took Anthony to football practice. I was crashed before 9pm!

Today:  Dang I'm exhausted just reliving my past 9 days lol. Alyssa's eye appointment was today, she has more the perfect vision. Alyssa is going to eat tacos with my niece and her boyfriend. Anthony wanted to go but wants to stay with me.....I think he likes me lol.

Well that's all for today. Man, I wont be going that long without blogging again!
Have a great day!

October 3, 2011

Alyssas overnighter went great! The carmel apples we made werent really carmel apples (i forgot the sticks) Alyssa and her friend just had to dip their apples into the melted carmel. Oh and before they ate apples they made their own pizzas. They turned out pretty good.

After Alyssas friend went home and Anthony came home from his overnighter we went to Keokuk to visit Jeffs family. Kids were so excited to see Nana and all the rest of the family. We spent Sunday watching football of course!  Surprisenling this isnt longer then what it is since I havent been on here for a few days.
Today has been busy, had physical therapy for my shoulder, then had an ultrasound for my pain in my pelvic, then got kids from the bus. Grandma is visiting before she goes into hybernation for the winter(yes shes like a bear). Now watching more football (Go Colts)!
Tomorrow will be just as busy, Alyssa has an eye appointment and Anthony has football practice.

September 29, 2011

Today started well, took the kids to the bus stop. Came home and cleaned a lil bit, then relaxed. Jeff and I went into the store to get something for supper tonight (we decided on sandwiches). On the way to the car I got an extremly sharp pain in my pelvis area. Once we got home I layed down and Jeff talked me into calling the dr and my doc was triple booked so they had me see the on call doc, whom I like. Once we got there he was way behind so they sent me in with another doc(one of which I cant stand!) Of course that doc doesnt know why Im having pain. My blood count was normal. The dr scheduled me for an ultrasound on Monday, although she never explained what she was looking for or not looking for(yet another reason I dont not like this doc). The whole apt lasted only 30 min and that was with lab work! If anybody knows the clinic in town they know that this was exceptionally fast!  So now I get to indure pain until Monday!

Anyway....Anthony had football practice tonight, he did amazing, like always. Both kids are having sleep over tomorrow. Alyssa is having a friend stay here and Anthony is going to his friends' house. I would have to say that Anthony is more excited then Alyssa. This will be his first overnighter!! Alyssa stays with a close cousin just about 2 a month! The girls are gonna make personal pizzas for supper tomorrow and then carmel apples!

And in vow renawal news......My maid of honor, Alyssa and I are goin to go look at dresses. How exciting! Her and I havent been able to go out for a while now but it will be good to be able to cetch up in person! Miss her so much!! (love ya, you know who you are!)

Well Im getting off now before its no longer today lol.

After I got the kids off to school I had physical therapy for my shoulder, I cried. It hurt so bad but Im pushing myself in order to get better. Then once I got home my mom needed someone to follow her to Colo, she had to take the camper in. So we went to Colo dropped off the camper and then went to the Berry Patch that mom use to work at. We picked a bunch of apples! Alyssa is having a friend stay the night on Friday so we are goin to make carmel apples, yummy!! Also in the morning Im goin to make apple butter, AMAZING!! Tonight I made a new meal (thank you Velveta lol). It was called bacon cheeseburger rollup.
Everybody loved it.

Oh in other news, we decided on colors for our vow renewal, orange and pink. We are goin to have 4
people each standing up with us, and 2 ring barrers and 2 flower girls.  Of course my 2 kids and then Jeff's neice and nephew. My two are extremly excited, they just absolutely love Jeff! Well Thats all for tonight. See ya in the morning.

For starters

My name is Beth Wilver. I currently am a stay at home mom. I am married. I decided to start a blog because hey what else is there to do? My son, Anthony, is 8 and my daughter, Alyssa, is 6. They attend Baxter school, which they LOVE!! Alyssa attends gymnastics at MAT in Newton and Anthony does just about every sport there is! Current sport is full contact football. My husband, Jeff, is an Iraqi vet. We were married July 10, 2008 just months before he was deployed. He is home now. Jeff is disabled (eye sight). We are going to be renewing our vows in 2013. We were married by the clerk of court in '08 because Jeff was set to deploy soon after and we didnt know when we would be able to get married before he left. So we are currently try to save money so we can have a wedding that we both want (manly Jeff since this is his first and my second). So I will be posting alot about the trials of having to do all that, also will be posting alot about my kids as they are a huge focus of my life! Oh and I love to take pictures so once I figure everything out about this blog thing Ill start adding pictures.
